Planning your family vacation?...You have come to the right place. Nestled in
the Hamlet of Wallkill, Town of Shawangunk, just 70 miles north of New York City
and 40 miles south of The Catskill Mountains in the Mid Hudson Valley.
Tynan’s Dixie Farms is the perfect vacation home for the family, or maybe a
couple of families who would like to vacation together.
A LARGE PRIVATE COUNTRY LOG HOME for ALL SEASONS on 170 acres with a
large porch overlooking a recreation pond for fishing, rowing, swimming or ice
skating and private trails for hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking or
riding your own horse.
This modern log home, with a view from every window, has a large living room,
dining and country kitchen with all the amenities.
Three bedrooms, two full baths and additional sleeping areas, sleeps 14, plus a
crib for the little one.
This IS horse country and part of the view is our neighbor, a quality 700 acre
Standard bred breeding farm where you will see some of the finest horses.
Relax in the evening, sit on the porch, enjoy the star lit sky and listen to the
magic music of the night.
A place to let your kids run barefoot, see wildlife, catch fish and frogs, roast
marshmallows, fly kites, pick fresh fruit from the trees, run, play and stay
outside until past bedtime on our private country estate.
Our Property:
We have 170 acres for you to enjoy. The Log Home is surrounded by picturesque
fields in every direction. At any given time, just look out the window, or sit
on the porch and watch the abundant wildlife during the day or enjoy the magic
the night brings with the starlit sky and the music of the night creatures. A
large variety of birds to enjoy, rabbits frolicking on the edges of the fields,
deer grazing, hawks sailing in the sky. There are also fruit trees for you to
enjoy during season. A large recreation Pond that is perfect for fishing, rowing
the boat, swimming and in the winter, skating. From the porch, watch the fish
jumping, or the ducks and geese enjoying a swim. Trails are throughout the
wooded area where you can go hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking or
riding your own horse. The wooded trails take you along another wildlife pond to
a small river. Take your shoes off and step in.
Cabin Policies:
Pet Fee - A $50 pet fee is required if you want to bring your pet to cover
his/her entire stay. There is a maximum of 2 pets. You are responsible for your
pet and keeping your pet on the property.
Leaving Cabin:
On the day of your departure please leave the cabin in a proper condition. Place
dishes in the dishwasher and trash in outdoor trash container. Put all trash in
the containers outside. Make sure lid is on tight to prevent visits from the
wild life. Empty frig and freezer of your food and place the key on the desk.
Cabin Rates: 1 - 6 people $1,200/per week,
$220 per night
7 - 14 people $1,400/per week, $250 per night
